Did you know?
You are planning a project and need quick help calculating the number of radiant heaters per area and, above all, which devices! For specific projects where explicit advice is required, you can contact us at any time by phone or e-mail.
Why should you choose our ExtremeLine products? What are the advantages?
With infrared heating from ExtremeLine you can save yourself up to 70% in costs. Our heaters are very powerful, can heat a lot of area with a small number of devices. They have a long service life and are comparatively cheap. Another advantage of radiant heaters is the low red light component, their compatibility for allergy sufferers and the fact that they are absolutely silent. In addition, even in a light breeze, our infrared radiant heaters heat reliably.
When thinking about a radiant heater in the wellness area, you also need to consider the inrush current limit. Because here it is important that the fuses stay in and comfort can be provided throughout.
What’s more, our ExtremeLine infrared heaters are minimally invasive and blend in perfectly with the architectural design! Here, the devices can be mounted with joints or rope attachments. Also, the general installation effort is much less than other heaters. Thus, costs are saved again.
And there is another advantage. Our devices are manufactured at our production site in Halfing am Chiemsee and were also developed there. In addition, our products have a very high quality standard and low maintenance. However, if a carbon tube should break, you can easily replace it yourself. Our carbon tubes are much more robust and insensitive compared to the commercial gold tubes.
With over 25 years of experience in the field of infrared radiant heaters, ExtremeLine is your reliable partner for innovative heating solutions. This allows us to use our extensive expertise to realize your project in the best possible way. Safe heat - Radiation expertise from Seibsdorfer Laboratories
Infrared rays are a part of the electromagnetic spectrum that is invisible to the human eye. They transmit heat energy that is absorbed by objects and people in their area of influence. This heat is perceived as very pleasant, but inferior devices with infrared A radiation pose health risks that should not be underestimated.
The following risks of IR-A radiation should be considered: Skin burns such as sunburn, heat overload and eye damage such as retinal detachment. Skin diseases can also worsen.
We attach great importance to safe heat and therefore guarantee that our products meet the highest requirements such as ICNIRP (global standard) and ÖNORM (EU standard). We only use infrared B to C radiation for our radiant heaters and therefore work within a spectrum that is harmless to health. We have had this confirmed by a test center (the Seibsdorfer Laboratories) in an expert opinion. (see graphic on IR radiation)
What is Seibersdorf Laboratories? They are a reliable partner in the world of high-precision laboratory analysis and complex measurement technology. Their and our commitment to innovation ensures that the highest quality and safety standards are met. In the field of infrared radiant heaters, we have subjected our HeatTube to the radiation expertise for the application of ionizing radiation. This certificate, with the number EN 60335-2-53, confirms the official testing of our HeatTube and its approval for the wellness sector.

What effect does infrared heat have on the body?
It has long been known that the most powerful natural source of infrared is the sun. The warmth of the sun has been used to alleviate ailments since ancient times and its beneficial effects are not only used in medicine, but also at home and in the wellness sector. As the infrared radiation heats the body directly and not the entire room air, a quick feeling of warmth is generated, which the body stores in its interior. This deep warmth has a positive effect on people, as it has a relaxing effect, strengthens the immune system and increases the feel-good factor.
We at ExtremeLine have used this knowledge to develop various infrared radiant heaters according to the latest standards, depending on your needs. The advantages are obvious. A lower room temperature reduces heating costs, there is hardly any air turbulence, which is a particular benefit for allergy sufferers, and draughts and humidity are avoided.
Wavelength of the radiation and its efficiency:
IR-A – short-wave infrared radiation (gold tubes)
Skin and eye damage (lens and cornea) caused by the radiation, strong increase in core body temperature due to the high penetration depth of up to 5 mm into the skin. Use in private areas is not recommended. Source: ICNIRP, International Commission on Non-Ionizing Radiation Protection
IR-B – medium wave radiation (ExtremeLine carbon emitters)
Radiant heaters provide pleasant warmth on the skin and the penetration depth is max. 2 mm. This makes it harmless. Use: Indoor or covered outdoor areas (private, commercial, public & gastronomic)
IR-C – long-wave radiation (ExtremeLine dark radiators)
Soothing and stimulating radiation with a penetration depth of max. 0.3 mm. Use: Wind-protected areas, indoor & wellness areas
This is how infrared radiation affects the skin:
Infrared radiation is part of the electromagnetic spectrum, which has a remarkable effect on the skin. When infrared rays hit the skin, they penetrate deep into the tissue layers and generate heat. This heat promotes blood circulation and stimulates the metabolism, which leads to an improved supply of oxygen and nutrients to the cells.
In addition, the infrared radiation stimulates the production of collagen, an important protein for skin elasticity and firmness. This can help to improve the overall appearance of the skin.
Many wellness applications, such as infrared cabins or lamps, use these effects to promote relaxation and relieve muscle tension. It can increase general well-being by reducing stress and creating a calming atmosphere.
As our heating tubes operate in a wavelength range from 1,400 nm (IR-B radiation), there is almost no red light component.
Infrared radiant heaters as alternative heating in the bathroom
Infrared radiant heaters offer numerous advantages in the bathroom, increasing both comfort and energy efficiency. One of the main advantages is the immediate heat output: unlike conventional heating systems, infrared radiant heaters do not heat the air, but the surfaces and people in the room directly. This provides a pleasant feeling of warmth that is immediately noticeable, especially on cold mornings.
Another plus point is energy efficiency. Infrared radiant heaters require comparatively less energy to reach the desired temperature, as they emit targeted heat. The installation of radiant heaters in guest bathrooms is also very popular here.
In addition, our HeatTubes are equipped with minimally invasive suspension systems and are easy to install without the need for extensive structural modifications.
Infrared radiant heaters also help to improve the indoor climate as they do not dry out the air. This is particularly beneficial in a humid bathroom, as the radiant heaters can also help prevent mold growth. Finally, they are often available in different designs so that they can be harmoniously integrated into the bathroom design. Overall, infrared radiant heaters offer a comfortable, efficient and attractive heating solution for any bathroom.
