Jahrestagung 2023 des Bundesverbandes Wintergarten e.V. :

This year we were once again at the industry meeting of conservatory and patio roof builders. The who’s who of the industry met in Berlin on November 9-10, 2023. The program of the event organized by the Bundesverband Wintergarten e.V. (German Conservatory Association) once again included great specialist presentations covering various areas of conservatory construction. This time, the focus was on the general conditions for the industry and the trade: Trade in difficult times.

Interview with Christian Kalteis:

“It’s always great to be able to attend the conference of the German Conservatory Association. Every year, many well-known names from the conservatory and patio roof sector attend. It’s also great to be able to meet them in person and have great conversations with highly qualified people at the bar until late in the morning.

This year, ExtremeLine has once again set a course that would not otherwise have been possible. We were particularly pleased about the invitation from the 1st Chairman Peter Ertelt, who had given ExtremeLine the workshop “Electronics in the conservatory”.

This was a complete success with a packed conference room! The exchange after the presentation was particularly beneficial. The control system manufacturers with whom we cooperate have given us the following statement: “That was really very good”. A great workshop in which the participants were actively involved!

We would like to take this opportunity to thank Frank Mücke from Weinor GmbH & Co KG, who is deeply involved in the field of electrical engineering and supported us in the preparation and selection of topics. We would also like to thank the Bundesverband Wintergarten e.V. for a really successful event! We will of course be back in 2024. “

ExtremeLine bei den Wintergartentage 2023

The program

The lecture program began with a topic that is also important for the skilled crafts sector: financial and tax policy perspectives in times of crises, war and disasters. This was followed by a presentation on what’s new in the areas of GEG, standardization and technology on the subject of building elements with glass and a contribution on “New approaches to glazing and their relevance for conservatory construction”.

1st workshop with ExtremeLine
This year, we had the honor of holding a workshop as part of the program for the 2023 annual conference. Our workshop deals with the topic of “Electronics in the conservatory”. Starting with basic information on different technologies, we looked at the possibilities and special use of “electronics in the conservatory” through to full connection with the “smart home”. We also shed light on the topic of standards/regulations and safety standards.

The 2nd workshop was entitled “From guarantee management to securing liquidity”. The focus here was on ways to optimize a company’s liquidity and minimize risks. Afterwards, everyone met up for dinner and enjoyed a drink at the bar to round off the eventful day.

Auch am zweiten Tag der Tagung werden Workshops angeboten. Hier ging es um den Arbeitsstand der neuen Technischen Richtlinie 02 des Bundesverbandes Wintergarten e.V., thematisierte „Solartechnik“ im Glasdach, Erfahrungsaustausch als Schlüsselelement für Erfolg, „Barrierefreiheit – eine bauliche Anforderung und im 7. Workshop ging es um Erfahrungsberichte über erfolgreiche Strategien, den Arbeitskräftemangel zu behebenZweiter Tag mit Mitgliederversammlung und Fortsetzung der Fachtagung. Im Anschluss an die Vorträge folgte dann ein Erfahrungsaustausch und eine Diskussion. Zu guter letzt folgte noch der Programmpunkt: „Wintergarten-Wiki“ mit Infos rund um die Belange der Branche. Neben dem Fachprogramm wurde die Tagung durch eine Foyerausstellung ergänzt. Zulieferer für die Wintergartenbranche sowie Systemgeber präsentierten hier ihre Lösungen und ermöglichte intensive Gespräche im kleinen Kreis. Dies wie auch die zahlreichen Fachgespräche in den Pausen und während der Abendveranstaltung standen für intensiven Erfahrungsaustausch während der Wintergartentage Vortrag

Workshops will also be offered on the second day of the conference. The topics included the current status of the new Technical Guideline 02 of the German Conservatory Association, “Solar technology” in glass roofs, exchange of experience as a key element for success, “Accessibility – a structural requirement” and the 7th workshop dealt with experience reports on successful strategies to remedy the shortage of labor. The presentations were followed by an exchange of experiences and a discussion. Last but not least, there was the program item: “Conservatory Wiki” with information on all aspects of the industry.

In addition to the specialist program, the conference was complemented by a foyer exhibition. Suppliers to the conservatory industry and system providers presented their solutions here and facilitated intensive discussions in small groups. This, as well as the numerous technical discussions during the breaks and the evening event, ensured an intensive exchange of experiences during the Winter Garden Days.
